Crew Member - Charmione

I started in travel over 30 years ago and have travelled all over the world with various roles from chalet girl to cabin crew until I had my children. I had a short spell on ground leave before my first child and found myself working with Jonathan. I enjoyed it so much that I decided it was time to hang up my wings once and for all. I had found a new passion and that was helping guests create wonderful holiday memories. I've experienced some amazing trips around the world with a highlight being The Blue Train in South Africa plus various visits to the Far East, Caribbean and Europe.

I have been at The Cruise room for nearly 3 years and I have managed to experience first-hand many cruise lines. Without sounding too corny I believe there is a cruise to suit everyone, whether that’s a large ocean liners to smaller luxury ships to river cruises and I have been incredibly lucky to be able to follow my passion and experience so many of them!

Favourite Cruise Line

Really difficult to say, we get asked this every day and it never gets easier to answer. It really does depend on who you are travelling with. I had a great trip on Virgin Voyages with my friend last year for example, but most recently I took my second Silversea cruise, this time with my husband, and I think I’ve found my new favourite.

Favourite Destination

My favourite destination is Italy, I just love the people, food, wine and culture of this beautiful country and I find myself drawn there time and time again.

Favourite Cruise Memory

Recently I had the pleasure of sailing away from Palermo in Sicily. I was on deck, sipping a glass of champagne watching the sun set... it was just perfection and is hard to beat!
